Creature Feature

I was asked to submit a piece for Monstrosity Gallery‘s end of year show ‘Creature Feature’. Artist’s were asked to create artwork based on monsters/creatures/characters from film, comics, folklore etc. Straight away the Skeksis from Jim Henson’s Dark Crystal came to mind. I wanted to create something that was my own and not just another piece of fan art, without reinterpreting Brian Froud’s amazing design too much. Here’s what I came up with.
