I haven’t stopped listening to Lana Del Rey’s LP, Born To Die since it was released, so I decided to paint her as an editorial/cover study. Happy with the composition and how it turned out, click the image for a closer look. I’ll post a work in progress sequence shortly.

So during the last weekend of November I headed down to Torquay to do some live painting at Blunt Surf & Skate to promote the new Afends high summer range. It was the first time I’d ever painted in front of an audience so wasn’t sure exactly how it would go down, but all the peeps at Blunt were super cool plus the locals and people shopping all seemed to get into it. Capped off with a bit of late arvo sun and some beers, it was a great day! Have a look.

Thanks again to all the dudes at Afends and Blunt for making it happen! If you’re in the area you can see the finished piece along with the great window display at the store.

Board at NGV

This post comes a little late, but it’s been a busy end to the year. I was super lucky to be asked by the girls at Just Another Agency to be involved in the Board exhibition, currently happening at NGV Studio in Melbourne. Some great names in the line up, artists were asked to use a blank skateboard as their canvas and the show also features classic decks important in skateboarding’s history and culture. The exhibition runs until early February and there will be a few live painting sessions from several of the artists involved. More info here, well worth checking out.

This has come up rather quick, next Tuesday at 108 Chapel St, Windsor the annual Yarrr! Clothing T-shirt exhibition is taking place. I was fortunate enough to have been asked to create a piece of work alongside some great Australian artists. More info here, see you there!

Iron Mind Tour Print

This month my band Iron Mind has been on tour and to celebrate I decided to turn the poster art I created into a limited edition print. 284mm x 400mm two color screen print on A2 300gsm recycled stock, hand numbered and signed out of 30.
